Long ago they were openminded peacelovers who did everything they could to help others.  Then everyone was killed by a Sharaz siege, at least thats what most believe.   
When the Sharaz came they knew that they couldnt defend themself, their weapon technology was too low.  They had their shields, but they wouldnt last forever.   
The Photorean army held back Sharaz a while and Seraphim had sent reinforcements, but at the time they arrived Lavitera was already lost.   
But before all this, one city was ordered to submerge and put everyone in cryosleep.

The AesirAesir background   
The Aesir are a Seraphim sub-faction.   
They are the most powerful of all Seraphim and their technology are much higher than the normal Seraphim.   
The Aesir have only one planet, Asgard, since the Aesir only let the best of the best Seraphim join.   
Asgard is a cold planet with many dangers.   
Tunnel snakes (gigantic snakes that live underground), ice ravagers (think icebears with longer claws and sharper teeths) and Sharaz are only some of the dangers.   
If you show yourself worthy, the Aesir may send messengers to offer you a place in Asgard.

The federation are the united survivors of earth.   
They are governed by a president and a large senate with representatives from each and ever human colony and prime world.  The federation have gone through some rough time with the constant protectorate and Sharaz attacks.   
Since the federation are busy with defending their planets a unit was put togheter to act as agents for the federation.   
This unit consist of the best elite soldiers the federation have to offer and led by the Strike Team Viper with four unique soldiers, two gene-manipulated superhumans, a cyborg and a an The human factions

When Sharaz attacked earth, United Nations of Earth mainly used Barkov weapons and ships to repel the attacks.
